Rather nice weather.

We’ve had a rather varied weather today, grey and dull, sunshine, rain and misty rain but who cares when it is getting warmer 🙂 Geese are passing by, I heard the Blackbird sing for the first time this year and Larks are high up in the air singing that they are the best larks in the area, if not the entire world 🙂

I went to Falköping this morning, before going out on our morning walk. I needed to fill up the car with gasoline and I didn’t have anything left in the pantry or the fridge 🙂 Just as I came back home I got a message that I could pick up a parcel in Gudhem, the place I had passed twice when going to Falköping 🙂 It can stay there for a few days since this isn’t around a holiday when they have so many parcels that they barely can move around 🙂 🙂

I would have liked to start with making the new vegetable garden around the green house but the ground is still frozen solid in most places so the only thing I managed to do was to ruffle around the grass and moss 🙂 Instead I’ve watched the Junior biathlon world championships on tv, made some pancakes for me and the dogs and boiled potatoes so I can fry them for dinner tomorrow. I messed up when making the jam from the berries in the garden. I don’t know what really but I think the lid wasn’t tight enough. So when I wanted it for the pancakes it had already started to cold, rather annoying. The plum jam on the other hand was perfect and I do like plum jam on everything really 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day. I haven’t checked what’s on tv tonight but I guess I’ll do other things instead, like starting with the serious sowing of seeds 🙂

Have a great day!

Though Sarah is just some random kitty born in a barn or whatever, I am always amazed by the perfect symmetry of her markings. People pay a lot of money to have their clothes tailored so the patterns match up on both sides the way hers do effortlessly. She is a goddess, and she knows it.

When I look at your forest photos, they remind me of how as a kid in Massachusetts, I and the neighborhood kids would have been thrilled to have woods like that to play in. We never thought of ticks (and never got any) or even considered that there was any danger.

But now in old age, living in a world where the media does a good job of keeping us terrified 24/7 of everything: what we eat, breathe, drink, and even sun, air, and rain, I know I would hesitate to wander in a forest for fear of getting ticks or deadly bug bites, or stepping on snakes and every other horror I can imagine.

      Hi catsworking!

      She sure does 🙂 🙂

The same here and to be honest we didn’t have that many ticks back then, they’ve moved north with the warmer climate. Much the same with the moose fly, they didn’t exist here when I was a kid.

Yes always checking the dogs and cat if they have ticks and after that one self. If there should be one walking around on the body the feeling of it will stay for long 🙂 🙂 🙂 I have actually only seen three snakes here in the 26 years I’ve lived here. Must be plenty more of course and we only have one venomous snake here in Sweden so not a big stress about them 🙂
