There will be photos that were taken today and yesterday.

It has been a couple of calm days here, mostly grey and dull, some rain and even some sunshine, around two minutes of it 🙂 🙂

We were lucky that those minutes happened while we were out walking but we need more of it now when days get shorter and it’s still around two more months of that until it finally turns around again. It does however help that I am unemployed because I never had enough daylight when I had a job so I guess that’s positive 🙂 🙂 It was the same last year and to be honest I really didn’t get sick last year so I’m hoping for the same result this year, as soon as that cold that seems to love me finally leaves 🙂 🙂

The hunters were here today and had brought hunting dogs, I didn’t hear a sound from them so I guess that’s why they left early. There has been unusually few deer , hares and other animals around lately and I guess that can have to do with the wolf/ wolves being here. Well I didn’t think we would have a chance to tale a walk in the forest today so I was pretty happy when I noticed that they all had left.

Because of the rain we haven’t been out in the garden much either so I’ve mostly watched the dvd collection of A Town called Eureka and I’ve also been drinking a lot of coffee so it is time to make that cup of tea instead before I continue with watching dvd’s 🙂

The old rose covered all space behind the chips I made from the branches in my compost grinder, around 4 square meter (I think it’s more or less the same in square yards)

      We were lucky to have that sunshine while we were out walking 🙂 not much left of those colours now but the colours we do have really shine when the sunlight hits them 🙂

    Could you tell me what that bush with the red leaves, third photo from the end, is called? I ask because it resembles a little bush that sprouted at the curb in front of my house after I had a really old bush removed which was blocking the mailman from seeing my mailbox, causing him to skip me some days.

    That mysterious little bush was doing so well that when I hired a man to do some cleanup in that part of the yard (another story of a landscaping project using crushed red brick many years ago that haunts me to this day), I asked him to dig up and replant that little bush in a bed I have in the front yard.

    It hasn’t died, but it doesn’t seem to like the new spot as well. I’ll see if it survives the winter. Anyway, I wonder what type of bush it is because it’s nothing I’ve ever planted.

      Hi catsworking!

      That bush is a sand cherry but it doesn’t look like that normally, they usually grow along the ground and can become rather long but not high. So I’ve forced the ones I have to grow upwards because it’s a nightmare to mow the grass down without also mowing the sand cherry.
      Have it ever flowered? Does it in that case give any kind of berry/ fruit or seeds in some way? I’ve noticed that at least over here that all kinds of cherries tend to have the same colours in autumn but no relatives to them do so it might be some kind of cherry You have. Naturally there are other kinds of trees that can have those colours so it’s just a guess.

        This little bush is only about a foot high and I think it was green before moved, and then it started spreading its branches and the leaves turned a bit red. It has never flowered. It’s probably just a weed, but when I had another large bush (that looked nothing like it) removed, it’s the only thing that grew in that area. The soil is terrible, almost like concrete. But it got full sun and now it’s in some shade.

        Well I know one thing at that is that cherry tress can grow in anything. So I’m looking forward to see how it’s doing next year 🙂

      By the way if You have moved any kind of tree/ bush You will have to water it a lot the first year even if it rains all the time, the roots have been damaged when it was dug up so they don’t works especially well in the beginning.
