I’m so tired of that everlasting wind.

I took these photos yesterday when we were lucky to have sunshine on our morning walk.

We had a really spectacular sunrise this morning just before the clouds covered that gap in the sky. I was a bit surprised about it since they guessed we would have clouds covering the sky all day. They sort of did too but often the clouds were so thin that the sun shone through anyway. It would actually had been a really good day if it hadn’t been for the everlasting chilly wind. It is so annoying when it could have been a perfect day to spend in the garden but the wind is so cold that one prefers to stay indoors instead.

It was rather warm when being able to stay away from the wind though, it reached 13C (55,4F) but today the bl…y wind seemed to reach us where ever we were 🙂 I was outside every now and again though to rip up more stinging nettle roots and also trying to reduce the amount of Siberian catmint (Nepeta sibirica) from a flowerbed I’ve neglected for years.  It doesn’t spread like wildfire but it still spreads in a way one really doesn’t notice it until it is everywhere 🙂 It is an amazing flower though, beautiful blu-purple flowers, flowers from early summer until the frost kills it  and it grows really high with loads of flowers on every stalk. Smells a bit odd though 🙂 🙂 I sowed it for well over fifteen years ago and it has stayed with me since then.

I’ve also been to Falköping to have a meeting with my job coach and then went to the grocery store to get what I need for the coming week. More and more companies use shrinkflation now days, less in the package but selling for the same price. So now instead of buying one package of something one is forced to buy two to get enough. I would rather have it that the price is higher but I still only need to buy one package. Ok I would rather they didn’t raise the price at all but that’s just stupid thinking 🙂 🙂 🙂

The wild hogs have started to dig up the ground in the empty cottage at the end of the gravel road, and I guess it’s just a matter of time until they walk in to my neighbours garden too. They do have a fence along the gravel road but the rest is just a long hedge that won’t stop anything. I have my rather thick lilac hedge which I really dislikes but it might be a good thing to have it after all and in the hedge there’s actually a net fence that will be hard to jump over for the hogs since the lilac hedge is there as well 🙂 One of my uses (a rather beautiful one) sends out a lot of suckers so I’ve started to pot those and later on I’ll plant them in the hedge where there’s a chance the hogs might have a try to get in to my garden 🙂 My neighbour and I have also talked about possible putting up an electric fence, the only thing that actually will help keep the pigs away.

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I bought some digestives in the store, so some butter and cheese on them will make the evening quite ok 🙂

I doubt it will be easier to sell the place when wild hogs have started to dig up the garden.

Have a great day!
