It has been a really nice day here even though the weak wind was pretty cold. Below 0C (32F) temperature during night again but it looks like the coming night will be the last one in a while to have that. From now on it’ll be cloudy but warmer winds will finally fly in again 🙂

We walked down to the creek and today we saw several roe deer, can’t remember when there were so many out in the fields the last time. Birds were singing everywhere and Alma behaved really well again, for once my shoulder doesn’t ache 🙂 They have started to spread manure over the castles fields but thankfully the wind had changed direction slightly so today I couldn’t smell it at all 🙂 Yesterday was another thing and even when my nose was stuffed I still could feel it 🙂 🙂 🙂 Normally I never care about it but I think they must have mixed in hen shit in it and that’s the only smell I really can’t stand 🙂 🙂 🙂

It was so nice today that the kitchen door has been open all the time and all radiators have been shut off 🙂 I’ve spent a lot of time digging up stinging nettle roots so now my arms and hands itch a bit 🙂 I’ve also moved out four my cacti to the greenhouse, I sowed them long ago and they have grown well but never flowered. This year however they will stand in full sunshine (with a net covering them) all summer long. I used to have different opuntia cacti growing outside all year long back in the days but had to remove them since some dogs just had to get to them and those thorns are hard to get rid off 🙂 🙂 🙂

I also moved all the wood chips I made last year and all branches I had cut down but not made wood chips from yet to one place instead of having them all over the garden. So much more space for the dogs to play on now. Not that they will because it is so much funnier to destroy anything I’m planting 🙂 🙂 I’ve also had long conversations with my three year old neighbour. She wanted to introduce me to her doll and talk about this and that. She wasn’t in the mood to do anything really so instead of follow her mother and sister to their little pony she stayed at home with her father. Later in the day she called for me from the fence wanted to have a chat again, unfortunately Malkolm wanted to stay on their side of the fence and jumped over pushing her straight in to the lilac hedge 🙂 Well that wasn’t popular today and it didn’t get better when Alma almost did the same thing seconds after. She forgave them pretty quick though, she really loves my dogs 🙂

Almost all wood chips are moved and the small twigs still laying on the ground will be mowed down.
It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and I’ll have some ice cream as well. I actually think there is something I want to watch on tv today so I’ll have both while sitting in front of it 🙂

Have a great day!
