A bit grey and dull this morning but rather warm again, warm in this case means 6C (42,8F). If there was any wind I didn’t feel it, not in the garden not in the forest where we had our morning walk. They had guessed the sun would show itself before noon so I waited a while before we went out. Birds were singing and Swans were flying in from south. I did go to the supermarket and I could see fairly many cranes in the area now. Yesterday they counted 3180 of them by the lake.

This is the only place Alma always is calm and quiet. It is the place where she first saw a couple of wild hogs and their piglets.

We walked out to my favourite peninsula at the bog and on the way we saw a couple of Roe deer in a field, it is the same ones I’ve seen there for well over a week now. Swans passed above upon their way to the lake and like always I could hear a few Jays arguing at the tree tops 🙂 lots of smaller birds jumping between trees to find something to eat, I’ve stopped feeding them now because this is the time they need to find all those pests to eat so we don’t have problems with them during spring and summer. I will of course feed them again if the weather turns and we’ll get snow and cold weather again, after all these temperatures we’ve had lately isn’t the usual one, it is much warmer now than it normally should be.

Just as we came out to the end of the peninsula I looked out over the bog and noticed something didn’t look like it normally does. At first I thought it was a big tree that had fallen down and that it was the soil around the roots I could see, so I picked up the camera to take a better look. Turns out that it was a moose sleeping and it had heard us coming. At the same time there was something big running in front of us, I couldn’t see what it was though because it ran in to a thicket of young trees. Then suddenly I could hear lots of wild hogs running in the other direction and that was a bit too much for the dogs, even Malkolm felt the need of barking and he never does that when he see or hear wildlife 🙂 🙂

I took a look in the raised bed when we came back home and I could see lots of tree seedlings growing in it. They were growing more or less in a straight line so I’m pretty sure I have poked down something there but it was two years ago so I have no memory of doing it. At the same time I do tend to put down seeds here and there and especially from something edible, so my guess is that it might come from cherries 🙂 🙂 I’ve now potted them and I do hope it is cherries because they are my favourite berry to be honest. I’ll know later when the leafs starts to show 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea and perhaps I’ll have some yogurt and cornflakes too. I always cut down some fruit in it and some cinnamon will go in it too 🙂
Have a great day!
