Sunshine all day, a morning without wind and slightly warmer then. they guessed made a really nice day. When the wind did return it did so from a direction where the wind ws blocked from reaching my home. I like that 🙂

We walked down to the creek and the snow was slightly frozen but just on the surface, beneath it it was more like snowball snow so my studded shoes got a good grip when walking. I could see that the ice on the creek now is slowly melting away so I hope no animals will try to cross it because the ice will most likely not be able to hold any weight at all. No new tracks in the snow but I did see a bunch of wild hogs running away from us when I scolded Malkolm for pushing the leash 🙂 🙂

I could just hear a mouse somewhere in the walls so I’ll be sure to check the box trap tomorrow morning. They just can’t stay away from coconut flakes I’ve noticed 🙂 I have plenty of coconut flakes at home so perhaps I should make myself some coconut macaroons with plenty ooh chocolate covering them 🙂 I don’t have any chocolate at home though so I better write that down on the list of urgent things to buy 🙂 🙂 I think I’ll add some vanilla sugar to it as well, another urgent thing to buy then 🙂 🙂

Tonight they say will be the last night, at least for some time, when it will be below 0C (32F) degrees, after that it’ll stay above 🙂 I don’t really trust that because I live in a frost pocket so it usually takes a longer time for us living here to defrost 🙂 Tulips for instance usually comes two weeks later here than they do at my neighbours living higher up in the village. I’m happy as long as it gets warmer during days though 🙂 This time of year when winter is letting go but spring really hasn’t arrived yet is called springwinter (yes one word). It is when days are warmer and sunny but nights still can be very cold. Those days are perfect for having picnics. One sits oneself in a sunny spot enjoying the sunshine, drinking coffee and eating something like sandwiches or cinnamon buns  and just enjoy life 🙂

It is time for that last cup of tea and see if there’s anything worth watching on tv.
