Well the rain that didn’t fall during easter did fall yesterday evening, all night and well in to this day π We need it so I will for once not complain about it. I did forget to check how much it filled up the water barrels though, I want them full before summer starts properly.

I write properly because the meteorological summer has actually arrived here already, that means that the temperature never falls below 0C (32F) five days in a row. They showed a map on tv and it is slowly getting closer to this village. Won’t happen this week though because there’s a risk for night frost during the weekend the weather apps say. Days will be warm though.

I still like to go to work so I think I like this place I’m working at π It’s hard to think but even though FalkΓΆping is a rather small town the traffic is horrible π π π It goes faster to take a detour when driving home than to go the most logical way. Also there don’t like it when one follows the traffic rules π π They all want to go home so don’t You dare to follow those because that takes so much longer π π π

It is time for that last cup of tea for the day and then watch some tv, I’ll take the sofa instead of the recliner because then the dogs can join me π This change from being at home all day to now go to work is worse for them than it is for me so they need that extra time staying close π

Have a great day!
So glad to hear the new job is working out for you. How many co-workers do you have?

Hi ppekka!
In the department three but in the factory around 30. One never knows how things will work when changing work place so it is a relief that it works so well.

The dogs and monster kitten must really be happy to see you and getting used to the fact that you are not home during the day like before. Do you think their behavior will also change? And, good to read that you are enjoying the new job but being in traffic is never pleasant.

Hi Beatrice!
No I don’t think their behaviour will change, they have after all been through this routine before. They are after all happier now when I come home since I had that vacation for seven months π
Yes it’s so nice that things work so well π

I’ve moved my old Christmas cactus and a younger Thanksgiving cactus out to the front porch. It’s an enclosed porch with a south exposure so it gets lots of light and is warm enough at night. The old one used to go outside on a low bench under the small black walnut tree. A red squirrel got to it one day and bit off a lot of the branches. No more outdoors for the old cactus.
The Korean spruce looks like one of those egg style chairs from the 1950s. It would probably be more comfortable. π
There are two elm trees growing in my yard. Trees in my yard have a habit of suddenly showing up where there wasn’t a tree before. I have no idea where the elms came from because there aren’t any elms anywhere near me. They are not Slippery Elms but I can’t tell if they are American Elm or Field Elm. I may keep them even though they’ll probably get Dutch Elm disease at an inconveniently tall stage of life. But it likely won’t be my problem by then. π

Hi Caryn!
I wish I had an enclosed porch but I need that lottery winning before that happens π π
The squirrels are too shy to come to my garden and I think that there hasn’t been a deer here fort years now. The only ones that do come here to visit are badgers and a fox so. I think my cacti are safe π π
Yes that’s how it looks π π It’s pretty weak though so I’ll have to wait a few years before I try it π π π
The dutch elm disease is killing almost all elm trees here but they have actually found a few resident to it, so now they do their best to propagate them as quick as they can. Something even worse will probably come and replace that fungus just because π π
