I let the dogs out just before going to bed yesterday evening, Albin came back rather soon and just as he was walking indoors I hear Alma bark like crazy and she’s not playing, she was furious. She was at the other side of the garden, barking towards the big pasture but since it was completely dark I couldn’t see anything.
It took a while before she finally felt she had done enough 🙂 I still have no idea what she was barking at but she was still very upset when she went indoors. My guess is that it could have been the piglet that always escapes from his pasture, she really don’t like those piglets. It could also be a moose or perhaps a fox or a badger. No person in their right mind would walk there in the dark, it wouldn’t take long until that person would fall and injure him or her self 🙂 🙂 The thing I was most happy about though is that she never left the garden to try and hunt down what ever it was 🙂
Yesterday was rather nice with lots of sunshine and nice temperatures, today was more murky with misty rain and grey skies. We did see the sun for about ten seconds but that was it 🙂 🙂 Still I don’t mind autumn days like that, they are perfect to just stay indoors doing very little. Well I did the laundry at five am and at two pm I made dinner for next week at work. The rest of the day I’ve done nothing at all. At least I can’t remember doing anything but sitting in my recliner watching something I’m not interested in on tv 🙂 🙂 🙂
I’ll leave work early tomorrow because I’ll go to the optician so we can correct my contact lenses. I should be able to see in long distances since they are progressive but it does feel like they forgot that part when they made this pair 🙂 🙂 I realized that I missed lots of mushrooms when we were out walking because of the lenses, I didn’t wear them yesterday and we walked the same roads and suddenly I saw mushrooms everywhere 🙂 🙂 🙂 (I have those mushrooms in the sauce for my dinners at work for next week 🙂 )
I’m tired and I would love to join my dogs in my bed right now. Too early though, it’s not even seven pm yet 🙂 Nothing but the news on tv that I want to watch and the news can hardly be called uplifting 🙂 🙂 🙂 They’ll report that the price of fuel have risen lots because the temporarily lowering of the taxes are gone, I’m so happy I filled up my car before I went home on Friday 🙂 They’ll also most likely talk about the sabotage on the two gas pipelines going from Russia to Germany and the risk of having a fascist party pressuring the coming government. They can not create a government without that party’s support so they’ll most likely give that part anything they want. This party is the lackeys of Putin and think it is ok to threaten journalists but I guess having the power will excuse anything.

Hi Christer, we were away for 10 days recently visiting family and friends in NJ (our home state) and PA on another road trip and covered 1,000 miles. Now, I am catching up on blog reading and have many to get through! It certainly looks like autumn colors have arrived in your area and here as well. September was still very warm and I was happy to have it end as October has been wonderful with cooler days so jeans and sweatshirts can be worn again.
I just read about your contact lenses and hope the visit to the optician corrects the problem. Years ago, I wore them in pairs. But, after my cataract surgery which gave me distance vision, but not close up reading without using reading glasses, I wear only 1 contact in my left eye to give me that ability. Some days, I just rely on the reading glasses being too lazy to insert the contact😉

Yes autumn is here and we’ve had some frost nights as well, unfortunately all moose flies seems to love frost so they just keep on living 🙂 🙂 🙂 Days have been pretty nice though, at least those days we’ve had sunshine.
Yes I was at the optician today and we made some changes for the next pairs of lenses. I’ll see better in a long distance from now on. As it has been so far I’ve had great eye sight close up no matter what light I’ve had but from now on that’ll change. I really need to see the wildlife before it jumps up on the road.

The weather here has been cold and very windy. Remnants of hurricane Ian, I guess. There was a bit of rain on Saturday but nothing to speak of.

We’ve had two rather nice days here but the coming three will be windy and rainy they’re guessing. I don’t mind that much, it’s nice to listen to the wind and we do need the rain.

Henry is the barker but mostly toward the front of the house when people walk by or the mailman’s truck stops across the street at my mailbox. Nala is the catcher of creatures, but she doesn’t bark. She carries it in her mouth and runs the yard.
Both dogs sleep on my bed. I wake up startled if Henry jumps off the bed, stands at the top of the stairs and barks. Scares the heck out of me.

Albin mostly huffs and puffs now days, Alma screams and barks but even she has calmed down with that. Nova never make a sound 🙂 🙂 Thankfully none of them barks indoors but every now and again a deep growl can escape their mouths 🙂
