Tonight they’ll hit a small asteroid far away in space.

We had lots of sunshine yesterday, very different to what the wetaher sites had guessed 🙂 🙂 Not particularly warm perhaps but warm enough to have the kitchen door open quite a lot.

Today is a different story, lots of rain and more is on its way. The weather sites are guessing that we’ll have rain for the rest of the week so I wouldn’t be surprised if we instead will have lots of sunshine 🙂 🙂 I don’t mind the rain though, it’s too dry here right now so some trees have leafs that just hang down like unstarched  handkerchiefs.

Nothing much is happening here though and since it is raining the dogs will refuse to take a walk and I can’t complain about that 🙂 🙂 Tonight they’ll hit a small asteroid far away in space just to see if they can change the direction it is travelling in. Just in case they would find one on its way to hit this little planet of ours. I always get a bad feeling when I hear that they will do something like that.

What if their calculations on what will happen is wrong and that small asteroid will change its direction and hit something else that then will start moving towards us and finally hit and kill us all 🙂 🙂 🙂 Perhaps not in the near future but later on when we won’t suspect anything to hit us 🙂 🙂 Well I’m pretty sure we soon will destroy this little planet f ours anyway so no idea to worry about asteroids far out in space.

    Hi Christer,
    I missed the hitting of the small asteroid which is technically a moonlet of a bigger asteroid. It would be ironic if little moonlet changed its orbit enough that it crashes into the bigger asteroid, and that body eventually ends up crashing into us sometime in the future. Presumably we’ll have figured out how to do it right by then. 😀
    The weather yesterday was sunny and cool with a breeze. We took a slightly different path on our morning walk and the dogs got to pee on new territory. They were very excited. It has rained a bit overnight. Today was cloudy and warm for most of the day but a cold wind has come up so the windows are closed.
    The black walnuts are starting to fall which I figured they would after that little cold spell last week. When we get a serious cold day, they’ll all fall off practically in unison and I’ll come out to a very bumpy lawn. I’m watching my step now as I walk across the back lawn. The danger of a turned ankle is real.

      Hi Caryn!

      I missed it too, it hit when it was around 1 am over here 🙂
      Yes it would be ironic and I guess it would be fair 🙂 🙂 🙂 I think they’ll know if it made any difference at all in a few weeks or so. Apparently they know that the little asteroid moon is quite dense, it would have been fun if it hadn’t been and the little probe had gone straight through it 🙂 🙂 🙂

      Alma and Albins loud screaming as soon as they see anything moving or hear a car/ lorry/ bus or plane makes it hard to find new routes to walk. It also seems most other dog owners now know how those two behaves so they tend to avoid this part of the forest 🙂 🙂 🙂

      I long for the day I see walnuts falling, after that I can get tired of it 🙂 🙂 🙂 I wonder if the wild hogs knows what to do with black walnuts if I ever get lots of them and toss them out in the forest? Perhaps best not to know and give those nuts away to friends instead 🙂
